The CH50

it's TOUGH - SO HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU HAVE?!

WILD EARTH COASTAL HIGH 50 WAVE STARTS & COURSE CUTOFFS

The event will have four main starting waves with the second wave starting two (2) minutes behind Wave 1. This will be followed by a ‘window’ allowing competitors to start at any time within a 4 minute period.

Wave 1 - 6am. Those with predicted finish times sub 6 hrs ONLY. Wave 2 at 6.02 am will be those with predicted finish times of between 6hrs and 7hrs, Wave 3 for those with predicted times between 7 - 9hours departs at 6.04am. Wave 4 for those with predicted times of and + 9hrs will leave at 6.06am.

A small ‘start window’ will follow for anyone not ready when their wave goes or for those not comfortable starting in a crowd. All Wild Earth Coastal High 50 runners will need to have started by 6.10am.

Prizes will be awarded to the first three males and three females over the line. Category placings will be decided by finishing times (time recorded between passing the start and finishing mats). There is a prize for age category winners.

ThE ‘CRUNCH’

IT MAY BE SHORTER, BUT IT AIN’T EASY - DON’T TAKE TOO LONG!

WILD EARTH CRUNCH WAVE STARTS & COURSE CUTOFFS

The CRUNCH will have two waves:

Wave 5 - 6.12am - CRUNCH - nominated finish times of sub 3hrs

Wave 6 - 6.15am - CRUNCH - nominated finish times of 3hrs+

This will be followed by a ‘window’ allowing competitors to start at any time within a further 2 minute period.

Prizes will be awarded to the first three males and three females over the line. Category placings will be decided by finishing times (time recorded between passing the start and finishing mats). There are NO prizes for Wild Earth Coastal High Crunch category winners this year. We will assess the numbers and age breakdowns and consider this for future events.

Cut offs are in place to ensure no congestion or impeding of the early finishers in the Wild Earth Coastal High 50 event. If you are ahead of the cut-off and speedy 50k runners begin approaching and passing you, we ask that you stick to the hard left - and give them a cheer as they pass!
